Claudia Jones
Academic Profile
I previously studied for a BSc in Geology at Royal Holloway University of London where I achieved a First-class honours. I then continued at Royal Holloway onto an MSc by Research in Earth Science where I developed an interest in oceanography and palaeoclimates, researching the effect of climate change on the position and intensity of the Mediterranean Outflow Water (MOW) within the Gulf of Cadiz. This involved detailed sedimentary analysis of Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) expedition 339 cores. Research completed during my MSc was accepted to present at the 35th International Geological Congress in Cape Town (2016).
